About Interior Design Dual Certification Programme
CSD College’s Advanced Diploma in Interior Design offers a unique dual certification pathway designed to prepare students for success in both local and international design industries. This programme combines 50% theory and 50% practical learning, including real project experience, site visits, and hands-on studio work—equipping students with essential design, technical, and professional skills.
Graduates will receive:
• GULL (USA) – A globally recognised certification from the Global University for Lifelong Learning, focusing on career-relevant, action-based learning.
• SKM (Malaysia) – The Malaysian Skills Certificate awarded by JPK under the Ministry of Human Resources. This national certification is granted to students who demonstrate strong skills and academic performance at approved institutions like CSD College.

The Advanced Diploma in Interior Design at CSD College empowers you with the creative vision, technical skills, and practical knowledge needed to transform interior spaces into meaningful, functional environments. Over two years, you’ll learn how to blend aesthetics with purpose—exploring how design impacts the way people live, work, and experience space. From residential to commercial interiors, you’ll develop the expertise to bring ideas to life and shape the spaces of tomorrow.
Year 1
Your journey begins with an introduction to core design principles, color psychology, and style concepts to help shape your creative identity. You’ll start learning how to plan and visualize interior spaces, with a focus on residential projects, including furniture arrangement, blueprint basics, and spatial zoning.Students will also develop essential communication and visual presentation skills to express ideas effectively, while beginning hands-on training in 2D drafting and 3D modeling using industry-standard software. Throughout the year, soft skills like workplace communication, teamwork, and visual storytelling are woven into the learning process—ensuring you’re not just developing as a designer, but as a future-ready professional.
Year 2
In Year 2, the focus shifts to refining technical knowledge and executing more complex projects. You’ll take on both residential and commercial design challenges, exploring real-world applications and deeper design thinking.This includes interior architecture fundamentals, such as construction detailing, materials, and structural integration. Students will work on design documentation, site planning, and budgeting concepts, gaining valuable exposure to project management workflows.
At the same time, you’ll strengthen your ability to pitch ideas, communicate with clients, and lead presentations with confidence. Through portfolio development and branding workshops, you’ll learn how to position yourself professionally in the industry. Success in design also depends on soft skills. That’s why we continue to nurture leadership, communication, and negotiation skills—ensuring you leave with the mindset and capabilities needed to thrive in the real world.
Internship & 1-On-1 Personalized Coaching
To prepare for your career, you’ll complete an internship and receive 1-on-1 personalized coaching—so you’re ready to enter the industry with confidence and clarity.
